We would like to say a big congratulations to the team at Robinsons Brewery for completing a charity bike ride in aid of Help for Heroes. For the ‘Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2019’ the team cycled 500km in 5 days across Northern France, taking in some of history’s most iconic battle sites along the way. For some of the team who hadn’t ridden a bicycle in over a decade, the ride was no easy feat!
“The team at Robinsons Brewery are long-standing customers of ours, so we didn’t hesitate in returning the support with a donation for their charity bike ride.
“We are delighted to support such a great charity, and hugely impressed with what the team achieved. This isn’t the first time we have supported Robinsons Brewery with their charitable endeavours – at the start of last year we supplied 1 million printed crowns and glass bottles for their Trooper beer, made with Iron Maiden, which also raised funds for Help for Heroes, ” said Tim Croxson.
Dean Etchells from Robinsons Brewery shared his experience with us:
“It was an incredible challenge. The route and scenery in Northern France was something to behold. For this year, there was a particular emphasis on the 75th anniversary of D-day. We stopped at significant points of interest and paid our respects at war cemeteries along the route.
“To be able to share this ride with my Robinson’s colleagues, fellow fundraisers and Help for Heroes beneficiaries, made this extra poignant. We heard, first hand, how the charity has helped and continues to help our veterans with physical issues, like loss of limbs, or mental issues such as PTSD. Thank you so much to Croxsons for all their support and sponsorship contribution towards our fundraising goal!”
