Croxsons takes the wheel at Mercedes-Benz World

Croxsons hosted its inaugural Driving Day at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge on Friday, 27th September. The event brought together customers, suppliers and staff for a morning of high-octane thrills, networking and luxury driving experiences.

The day began with a welcome over tea, coffee and pastries as guests gathered and mingled. At 9:30am, everyone listened to a track briefing – an important safety introduction to ensure all participants were fully prepared for the morning’s activities.

Following the briefing, guests were divided into groups. Some initially took on the challenging off-road course in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, tackling extreme slopes, rough terrains and water crossings. Under the instruction of professional drivers, they navigated features like the Stairs, the Ski Slope and the V Gulley, where drivers had to balance their vehicle on two wheels. Meanwhile others experienced the track, driving high-performance AMG models on the purpose-built circuit. This included driving twisting corners, testing the limits on fast straights and mastering the wet skid circle. The groups then swapped so that everyone experienced all the activities.

Beyond the driving, guests also took part in an exclusive behind-the-scenes brand tour, learning about the legacy of Mercedes-Benz and its cutting-edge automotive technology. This immersive experience offered a unique glimpse into the brand’s history and future innovations.

As the excitement of the morning’s activities wound down, everyone gathered for a well-earned BBQ lunch and prize-giving.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with Encirc’s Rob Turvey saying: “Great event, congratulations. Super well organised, great fun and super company as always.”

Tim Croxson, Croxsons’ CEO, summed up the day: “With the amazing backdrop of Mercedes-Benz World, we hope this event showed our commitment to building strong relationships with our customers and partners through memorable experiences.”
